If a movement feels painful, stop and check with a qualified healthcare provider. If you want help applying this to your body, book a consult.
Stand tall and reach both arms overhead without forcing the range. Notice whether one side feels tighter, whether your ribs flare, or whether your neck takes over.
Put your hands on your hips and slowly send your hips back like you are closing a car door. Notice whether your spine stays steady and whether you feel the backs of your legs engage.
Step one foot forward and one foot back. Hold for 20 seconds per side. Notice if your feet grip, your hips shift, or one side feels less stable.
Sit into a comfortable squat range. Notice ankles, knees, hips and trunk control. The goal is not depth. The goal is awareness.
Take five slow breaths with one hand on your ribs. Notice whether your breath moves easily or feels restricted through the chest, back or belly.
