Use this as a practical first step.

If a movement feels painful, stop and check with a qualified healthcare provider. If you want help applying this to your body, book a consult.

01. Slow breathing

Take five slow breaths with one hand on your ribs. Let the exhale be longer than the inhale. Notice where your body holds tension.

02. Cat-cow to child pose

Move slowly through your spine for 60 seconds, then sit back into a comfortable child pose. Keep the effort easy.

03. Half-kneeling hip shift

From a half-kneeling position, gently shift forward and back. Keep your ribs stacked and avoid pushing into pain.

04. Wall shoulder reach

Stand near a wall and reach one arm upward at a time. Let the shoulder blade move rather than locking it down.

05. Controlled squat hold

Lower into a comfortable squat range, hold briefly, breathe, and stand back up. Use support if you need it.
